Lions International ā District 3231 A1, Mumbai, India has proudly organised the Lions Special Olympics For the past 26 years, an Annual Flagship humanitarian Initiative dedicated to empowering Specially-Abled Children. As we enter the 27th Glorious Year, the Lions Special Olympics 2026 (to be held on 9th January and 16th February 2026) will unite 1,500+ children from 30+ special schools across Mumbai and neighbouring regions, in association with the Social Welfare Department and Divyang Department, Government of Maharashtra.
Under the dynamic leadership of Lion Hemanth S. Jain, Executive Chairperson, the Lions Special Olympics has reached new heights of excellence and impact over the past two yearsāmarked by stronger organisational structure, expanded participation, deeper community engagement, and growing public trust. What began as a noble act of service has today evolved into one of the most respected inclusive sporting movements for specially-abled children, symbolising dignity, courage, and equality.
More than a sporting event, this initiative is a movement of inclusion, dignity, and hopeāwhere every child is recognised as a champion. Over the past two years, strengthened leadership and community support have elevated this program to new standards of excellence and impact.
Lions Special Olympics stands as a powerful example of what collective compassion can achieve.
